An NHS employee from the East Midlands who developed ChatHealth – a secure health messaging helpline being used nationwide – has been recognised as one of the top health innovators in the UK.
Jimmy Endicott from Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust has been announced as one of the new intake of ‘Fellows’ for the NHS Innovation Accelerator, a national initiative which helps spread evidence-based innovations across the NHS so they benefit patients faster.

The HSJ Awards were held in London last night (21/11/18) and are the largest and most prestigious healthcare awards in the world. Around 1700 healthcare professionals attended the ceremony to recognise and celebrate excellence in health and care services.
Latest figures show an additional 6,175 East Midlands patients at high risk of Atrial Fibrillation – a leading cause of serious stroke - are now on anticoagulation treatment.
This represents a 9.7% increase over 12 months and means the East Midlands has the highest anticoagulation treatment rate of any region in England.
