Access our support and expertise:
Our East Midlands Digital Health Accelerator will be launched as an expanded programme later this year, the scheme will support companies to spread their digital technologies and innovations, with a tailored package of support available to the successful applicants.
Applications are due to open in April 2019 and run through until May 2019.
As part of the expansion of this programme we are looking for applications from digital innovators ranging from fully-fledged businesses to those with ideas and concepts for digital health innovations that they would like a platform to develop.
Successful candidates can benefit from specialist training, one-to-one support, opportunities to showcase their products with NHS decision-makers and influencers.
The programme will build on the success of a pilot launched in 2018 to support SMEs in understanding, interacting and networking with the health system and its key players, and is designed to close any gaps they have in the strategy to deploy their products.
The pilot initiative has supported two East Midlands’ companies, following a competitive application process: Spirit Digital and their product CliniTouch vie which provides remote clinical monitoring of medical conditions by healthcare professionals; and Howz who have an easy-to-use sensors and app, which learns patterns of behaviour and spots changes – often an early indication of health deterioration.
This initial programme has seen them present at a number of events both regional as well as national linking in with other similar programmes being run within the AHSN network. Spirit Digital and Howz will join the new cohort as alumni, and the AHSN will continue to support their innovations.
