The East Midlands Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Senate is an independent body hosted by EMAHSN. The group works to spread best practice through its members and provides expertise and guidance to EMAHSN and the wider healthcare system. The Senate is now looking for new members from Nottingham/shire to be part of its influential group.

The Senate is a diverse group and includes patients and carers with strategic experience in patient involvement and co-production of health and care services. They provide expert input and advice to EMAHSN programmes of work and the wider health and care system ensuring that patient involvement is at the organisation's heart.

If you are a patient, carer or member of the public from Nottingham/shire and have experience with local health and care services and are passionate about the public being involved in healthcare, research and transformation -  this could be a great opportunity for you. As part of the PPI Senate, you’ll join an amazing group of peers who are all passionate about ensuring the views of the public inform health and care services.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority, LGBTQ+, younger people, disability groups, and other under-represented groups.
