We’re working with West Midlands AHSN to deliver a joint Innovation Exchange event focusing on Digital Technologies in Mental Health and Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). The event will take place on Thursday 5 December, 9.30 am - 3pm at iCentrum, Holt Street, Birmingham, B7 4BP.
With introductions from the regional teams, and a keynote presentation on how the NHS has worked with industry in developing digital technologies for IAPT services, this event will offer commissioners, providers, Sustainable and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) the opportunity to explore digital innovations that can provide real world solutions to support improved access to psychological therapies
You will hear from each of the innovators who submitted to the recent campaign developed on behalf of IAPT stakeholders across both East and West Midlands regions and have an opportunity to network with each innovator as well as colleagues from across East and West Midlands IAPT, mental health and commissioning.
The campaign has been successful in attracting submissions from innovators who have submitted across the four key areas:
This could include:
Flexible and innovative delivery of therapies (e.g. CBT, interpersonal therapy, couples counselling, etc.) to deliver resources to improve outcomes for people with the most common anxiety related disorders (depression, anxiety, medically unexplained symptoms and long term conditions, etc.) and other conditions treated within IAPT services
Digital innovations which could ‘nudge’/ encourage patients to monitor and maintain their mental health during and following treatment including follow-up and, if required, re-entry into treatment.
Digital solutions which could develop the role of therapist, improve IAPT staff’s own well-being, enable flexible working (including being able to work outside traditional working hours) and increase workforce satisfaction.
