We're currently recruiting for a Head of Patient Safety on a secondment basis (between one and three years). The post holder will lead on patient safety transformation work across the East Midlands.

This fantastic opportunity will be key to leading and developing the East Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative agenda in addition to working on a national scale alongside the country's 15 Academic Health Science Networks.

Like the other 14 Patient Safety Collaboratives (PSC) across the country, the East Midlands PSC ambition is to “build a culture of safety and continuous learning and improvement to achieve a continual reduction in harm so patients and the public can be confident that care is safer now than ever before.”

The ideal candidate will be able to evidence extensive knowledge of patient safety issues and experience of delivering large scale change in a range of health and care settings using quality improvement methodology.

They will also have excellent communication and influencing skills and the drive plus tenacity to work across organisational boundaries, to overcome barriers to implementation, sustainability and spread of innovations.
