NHS and social care organisations set to benefit from access to innovative products and services

East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN), supported by the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative, has established a new framework following an open OJEU tender exercise.

Companies selected for the framework are offering innovative products and services which, when deployed in combination with related healthcare pathway changes, can deliver improvements in falls prevention and management across a healthcare economy.

The solution has been developed as part of EMAHSN’s STP/CCG/Industry Long Term Conditions Programme with involvement from NHS, social care, third sector, industry and university partners across the East Midlands.

The following suppliers have been offered places on the framework:

The framework will initially be used by the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (LLR STP) to purchase goods and services to establish an EMAHSN supported demonstrator service. This is designed to improve access to appropriate prevention services for those at risk of falling and to deliver better care to those unfortunate enough to experience a fall whilst living in the community.

The framework will be open for use by any NHS or public social care organisation and will significantly reduce procurement timescales and costs for organisations planning to replicate or deploy something similar to, the LLR falls prevention and management solution.

The Framework will also enable the selected companies to benefit from a faster route to market for their innovative products and services.

The ability to rapidly engage with suppliers whilst ensure value for money is important to delivering effective service transformation.”

This work is part of a wider EMAHSN programme connecting industry with the NHS and social care, supporting the delivery of NHS Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STP) throughout the East Midlands.
