We are seeking a Senior leader to work on behalf of the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network exploring and supporting development of potential East Midlands based Wave 2 Test Bed applications. The scope of work may also be extended to include identification of East Midlands STP areas of need and priority which could potentially by addressed by innovative products and services supplied by industry.

Background

NHS England is planning both the selective extension of the Wave 1 Test Bed sites and the introduction of a Wave 2 Test Bed programme open to applications from healthcare systems across England.Currently, there is no Test Bed site within the East Midlands and EMAHSN wish to explore interest in an East Midlands based application and support partnering and application activities as appropriate.

The Assignment

This will be a stimulating, emergent and challenging assignment dealing with multiple agencies and complexagendas. There will be a need to engage, plan, communicate and reflect as well as to deliver and add value.

Key deliverables:
  • Working with the EMAHSN Comms and STP engagement teams, promote and raise understanding and awareness of NHSE Wave 2 Test Bed programme and application process
  • Acting as a single point of contact for all East Midlands Test Bed expressions of interest from NHS providers and social care organisations during the exploratory phase [anticipated March – April 2018]
  • Development of an approach to East Midlands Test Bed applications, the associated healthcare / industry partnerships and the process/resourcing for completing applications [anticipated April-May 2018]
  • Further developing the narrative and understanding in the field of the Test Bed site requirements
  • Meeting with all STP leads to understand their particular or potential interest and offer to the Wave 2 Test Bed programme
  • Definition of a selected number of areas of healthcare system need and priority identified by the five East Midlands STPs, including development of specific asks and target outcome which can be used to inform an EMAHSN Innovation exchange process or programme.

You will be a highly experienced senior individual with a deep, broad understanding of the health and social care landscape, and primary care in particular. You will be able to evidence:
