The winners will be announced on 4 July in London and the PINCER project - which has been shown to reduce the number of medicines-related patient safety incidents by up to 50% - has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Primary Care category.

Professor Anthony Avery, Dean of Medical School, University of Nottingham and the PRIMIS team who led the PINCER development and were nominated by local MP Lillian Greenwood, who presented PRIMIS colleagues Dr Sarah Rodgers and Kerry Oliver accepted a certificate in recognition of the team’s shortlisting last week.
