Regional Innovation Fund - £3M to support NHS innovation

A Regional Innovation Fund (RIF) of £3million isavailable to support and promote the adoption ofinnovation and spread of innovation across the NHS.
The fund is open to all NHSorganisations and seeks to deliver significant improvements in quality andefficiency in the NHS through innovation.
Bids can be developed alone orthrough collaboration with other partners including providers, local government,the third-sector, private healthcare and industry.
The RIF aims to facilitate freshperspectives and partnerships, bringing in different types of expertise orcapacity to support the adoption of current innovations or development of newideas.
All bids must be led by an NHSorganisation under one of the following categories:
1. Aligned to supportingthe spread and adoption of current innovations promoted within the NHS and NHSEngland
2. Supportingdevelopment or adoption of new ideas.
An Independent Panel will managethe application process and award of funding and the closing date forapplications is 5pm on 30 May 2014. Awards will beallocated by the end of June 2014.
