Health Innovation East Midlands is supporting Midlands Rehab Month this September.

Hosted on behalf of the region by Midlands Innovation Health, the month will include a range of virtual and in-person events showcasing rehabilitation and medical technology expertise across the Midlands.

The programme includes events covering specific clinical interventions, as well as broader research and collaboration-building activities, bringing together colleagues from across the NHS, research, academia and industry.

The programme will provide opportunities to learn about the latest developments in rehabilitation, share best practice and explore how innovation and collaboration can support improved outcomes for patients.

Events taking place throughout September include:

• 3rd September (virtual): Digital Rehabilitation Showcase delivered by MI Health, the University of Leicester and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
• 8th and 9th September (in person): Femoral Fragility Trauma Masterclass delivered by Clockwork Medical.
• 10th September (virtual): Helping patients with venous leg ulcers regain their independence, delivered by MI Health and Urgo Medical
• 14th September (virtual): Sickness absence in the working age population delivered by Health Data Research UK Midlands.
• 15th September (virtual): Loughborough: Where rehabilitation research is more than elite sports delivered by MI Health and Loughborough University.
• 16th September (in person): RehabTech Together delivered by the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre Rehabilitation and EMERGE - The RehabTech Impact Accelerator.
• 17th September (virtual): Supporting proactive rehabilitation and frailty management within Integrated Neighbourhood Team delivered by MI Health and Safe Steps Ltd.
• 21st September (virtual): Translating ideas into Impact delivered by SPARK The Midlands.
• 24th September (virtual): MND for SLTs delivered by East Midlands Progressive Neurology CEN.
• 29th and 30th September (in person): Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) in Healthcare delivered by PHTA Ltd.
