Deaf people remain one of the most excluded groups in society, facing barriers to healthcare that lead to poorer outcomes, including higher rates of uncontrolled diabetes and blood pressure, later cancer diagnoses, and increased prevalence of mental health challenges. (Rogers et al., 2024).

The webinar will provide insight into the barriers Deaf people face, guidance on how best to engage with the community, and examples of how their perspectives can improve services, research, and innovation.
Please note: the session will not cover clinical issues or interventions. The focus will be on engagement approaches. Attendees will also receive a copy of our newly developed Top Tips Guide for engaging with Deaf people.
