HIEM is launching a series of bespoke skills webinars for maternity and neonatal staff working in trusts across the East Midlands. 

The webinars are based around the Culture Coach concept which aims to help staff, from all grades, teams and backgrounds to improve their confidence about culture change and feel empowered to make positive change happen.

The eight-week series of 45-minute trainer-led sessions is ideal for anyone working in maternity and neonatal services who would like to become a Culture Coach, refresh their skills or access training on any new topics.

 The series starts on 30th September 2025. All sessions will run from 1pm – 1:45pm, and will focus on the following topics:

• Session 1 – Core Communication and Facilitation Skills
• Session 2 - Active Listening and Empathetic Communication
• Session 3 – Difficult Conversations and Compassionate Challenge
• Session 4 – Psychological Safety and Building Trust and Joy at Work
• Session 5 – Understanding Workplace Culture and Human Behaviour
• Session 6 – Visible Leadership and Role Modelling
• Session 7 – Storytelling for Cultural Change
• Session 8 – Embedding and Sustaining Culture Change

The training sessions will be virtual, with an opportunity for peer-to-peer learning and time for reflection.
