Health Innovation East Midlands will be hosting a virtual Innovation Exchange event focused on productivity – a major challenge faced by many across the NHS: reducing the administrative burden and creating time for more patient care.

 The event will take place on Thursday, 11 September, 10:00-11:30am and is for East Midlands NHS colleagues, who will hear presentations from innovators who have solutions that can respond to the productivity challenge.

Recent engagement with local patients and NHS stakeholders has helped identify three key productivity challenges. Innovations showcased at the event will address one or more of the following areas:

1. Accelerating and improving processes, providing time for optimal patient care
2. Supporting and empowering patients on their care journey
3. Improving access and coordination across care settings

The event will also launch a new funding opportunity: the productivity innovation enabling fund, which will support the adoption of relevant innovations to help address productivity challenges within NHS organisations.
