The publication of our impact report comes at a pivotal time, coinciding with the launch of the NHS 10-Year Plan. The impacts in our report reflect our role in driving transformative innovation for patients, the NHS workforce, whilst stimulating growth for our economy.

The report is structured around the three key shifts from sickness to prevention, from hospital to community and from analogue to digital, which are central to achieving the goals of the NHS 10-Year Plan.

Further highlights from the report include:

  • Transforming wound care – saving the NHS 300 hours of clinical time and cost savings of over £40k in one community team.
  • Sharing best practice to enable new approaches to detect, manage and optimise detection and treatment for cardiovascular disease.
  • Supporting healthcare professionals to identify patients at potential risk from problematic polypharmacy and support better conversations about medicines.
  • Reducing harm from opioids, reducing mortality for patients in Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
  • Supporting hospitals to reduce unnecessary face to face appointments and improve productivity, generating costs savings.
  • Examples of digital technologies providing support at scale: personalised health checks and an accessible mental health solution for children and young people at risk from health inequalities.
