We are seeking a new Independent Chair for our organisation, as Martin Hindle’s term of office is coming to a close.
Martin has been with Health Innovation East Midlands since its launch in 2013 as East Midlands Academic Health Science Network and is stepping down after 10 years in the role, in March 2024.
He said: “It has been a great pleasure to be a part of the East Midlands health innovation network and see it grow over the last ten years. It has been a fantastic organisation to be part of, working with our wider health and care partners as well as with stakeholders from research and the commercial sectors among others, to improve care for local people.”
The Chair will provide leadership to the Health Innovation East Midlands Governance Board and support the organisation’s work towards the vision of ‘transforming lives through innovation’.
Managing Director Nicole McGlennon said: “We are looking for an exceptional individual with knowledge and experience at Board or similar level, who is adept at working in complex systems and networks, earning the confidence and trust of senior stakeholders in our region and nationally.”
The role includes chairing meetings four times a year of the Governance Board and also being a member of the national Health Innovation Network Committee, which comprises the Chair and Chief Executive of each of the 15 health innovation networks.
