As our 2022 East Midlands Digital Health Accelerator (EMDHA) gets underway, we are taking a moment to celebrate the successes of last year’s cohort. The three companies that took part saw some great impacts over the year:

• Sapien – which offers mental and physical support for patients who are waiting for elective surgery - doubled the size of their team during 2021, won national funding (SBRI 19) and were included in the national NHSX Perioperative Playbook
• Remcare – which offers digital transformation of clinical pathways to support hospitals with elective recovery - also successfully bid for SBRI 19 funding to continue to expand and evidence their impact on end to end digital transformation of surgical and medical pathways across multiple clinical specialities
• Memory Lane Games – an app which turns memories into social games for dementia patients and carers - were UK finalists in KPMGs Top Tech Innovator Competition and featured on BBC and ITV News

We have worked with each innovator to develop case studies to showcase their digital health innovations, benefits to the health and care system and the key impacts they have achieved with the help and support of the EMDHA programme. You can read these at:
