East Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative will be hosting its next ‘Connecting Together’ webinar for care homes on Wednesday 6 April 2022, 1.00-2.45pm.

The webinar has been designed for care home staff in the region and will feature key speaker Tommy Whitelaw. Tommy is National Lead for Caring and Outreach, Carers Voices, Health and Social Alliance Scotland.

The agenda for the day also includes:

• Current research in Advance Care Planning – Dr Karen Harrison Dening, Head of Research & Publications, and Professor of Dementia Nursing, De Montfort University
• Advanced Care Planning and Personalised Care in Practice – Louise Wright, Palliative and EOL Educator, LOROS Hospice, Leicester
• End-of-life journey with Mansfield Manor Care Home – Shazia Khalid, Managing Director, and Julie Wall, Clinical Lead

Also taking place will be the first East Midlands Care Home Awards for ‘Improving team working’. The webinar is part of the East Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative’s quarterly ‘Connecting Together’ series, which aims to support a culture of continual learning and improvement in resident safety.
