East Midlands Patient Safety Collaborative – part of the EMAHSN – has launched a new award scheme, recognising the achievements of care homes and carers.
The East Midlands care home awards will form a regular part of the PSC’s quarterly ‘Connecting Together’ webinars for care homes, and give the chance for anyone working with the care home sector to shine a light on the region’s community of care homes and celebrate care to be proud of.
The theme for the first awards in April 2022 awards is ‘Improved team working’. An example of this could be a care home team that has improved safety by working together, holding the same beliefs and values.
Nominations can be from residents, care home managers and staff, care homes nominating another care home, clinical commissioning groups, local authorities, primary care networks, and anyone who works with the care home sector, such as district nurses and GPs.
The award scheme was launched at the Connecting Together webinar on 20 January and a nomination form can be downloaded here.
The deadline for entries is Friday 4 March (12 noon) and the winner will be announced at the ‘How we care’ Connecting Together webinar on Wednesday 6 April (you can register for this event here).
