The East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) and East Midlands Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Senate is saddened to learn of the passing of Veronica Price-Job.

Veronica was a very highly valued member of our PPI Senate and served with EMAHSN for four years which included her most recent role jointly leading the Senate as Co-Chair.

Her contribution has been outstanding, and her dedication to championing the role of patients and the public has benefited many people throughout the East Midlands.

EMAHSN Managing Director Nicole McGlennon said, “Veronica provided valuable support and input across all aspects of our work; however, her knowledge of inequalities and her commitment to working to ensure fair access to health and care for all people in the East Midlands, proved an absolute inspiration not just for us, but for everyone she worked with professionally. Our heartfelt condolences are with her family at this difficult time.”

Susan Edge PPI Senate Co-Chair added, “Her legacy to us will be our heightened awareness that health and social care must be of equal consideration in reducing inequalities.”

At the start of her role as Co-Chair of the PPI Senate Veronica jointly wrote a blog that shared more about her background, the role of the PPI Senate and her passion for raising the inequalities agenda. Read a copy of the blog.

Veronica will be remembered for her knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm. EMAHSN extends its deepest sympathies to Veronica’s family.
