We are working in collaboration with West Midlands AHSN to deliver Midlands Digital Health and Care Week. This weeklong series of short, virtual sessions will take place from 12-16 October and will showcase successful, digital transformation projects from across the region.

The sessions will be open to NHS, Social Care Government and Local Authority colleagues and are an opportunity to hear first-hand from those delivering services and the challenges and successes of these projects.

Digital innovation has made a significant impact during the COVID-19 pandemic. There has been some great progress made through digital projects across the region and it is essential that we learn from this progress. The topics featured will be particularly useful for the restoration, recovery and reset of services following the impact of COVID-19.

Sessions include:

  • Providing care at a distance using digital tools
  • Using digital to connect care homes
  • Exploring digital technology in care homes

Tim Robinson East Midlands AHSN Commercial Director says “Midlands Digital Health and Care Week provides a valuable opportunity for professionals across health and care to share best practice and experiences of the implementation of digital solutions. During recent months we have seen the rapid introduction of new digital approaches in response to the pandemic. There are some great learnings that can be used to shape the way these digital projects and similar innovative approaches can be taken forward and effectively embedded during the restoration, recovery and reset of health and care services.”
