East Midlands Digital Health Accelerator (EMDHA)

Our EMDHA programme offers specialised support for digital health companies, including tailored expert guidance, coaching, masterclasses, and opportunities to present their products to NHS decision-makers.

In January 2024, we welcomed five new innovators to the EMDHA, while our previous cohort became part of our alumni network.

This year’s programme sought innovations that would help the NHS support self-care in the community and/or tackle waiting lists, while addressing digital inclusion and accessibility.

Our 2024 participants include Strata Health, Janamapp, SiSU Health and Tellmi.

Impacts

We supported 2022 cohort member Isla Care to evaluate their deployment at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The digital platform has reduced the length of follow up appointments by an average of 22 minutes per session, across all departments and reduced waiting times from referral to treatment by an average of 35 days.

We are supporting 2022 alumni Remcare with budget impact modelling for their deployment at University Hospitals of North Midlands which we hope leads to further adoption and spread.

2022 alumni Surgery Hero, was successful in their bid to our Innovation Fund.
