Heidi Health
Reducing administration time in primary care
Heidi Health is an ambient clinical AI solution that supports clinicians by automating clinical documentation during or after consultations.
By generating structured notes, letters and forms for clinician review and approval, Heidi reduces the administrative burden associated with documentation, enabling clinicians to spend more time focused on patient care.
We are proud to have supported Heidi Health and PICS (GP Practices Nottinghamshire) to implement the software as part of our Primary Care Enabling Fund.
It has since been sustained in one of the three practices it was evaluated in.
“Our GPs report saving up to an hour
of admin time per day using Heidi…
and it has certainly transformed
my own practice – freeing me up
to concentrate on speaking to my
patients and improving the quality
of my clinical notes.”

Rapid Health
Automating triage and appointment booking
Rapid Health delivers autonomous AI-driven triage through its Smart Triage platform.
Unlike traditional online consultation tools, Rapid Health clinically assesses patient requests, determines urgency, identifies the most appropriate care pathway, and allocates appointments without staff intervention for the majority of contacts.
The system operates across online, via telephone, and in‑person, and integrates directly with GP clinical systems, enabling equitable access while significantly reducing administrative workload and bottlenecks in primary care.
We supported PICS GP Practices (Nottinghamshire) to implement the software as part of our Primary Care Enabling Fund and the evaluation will be finalised shortly.

Holly Health
Sustained use of habit changing app suggests high patient appetite to enhance care at home
Holly Health is a personalised digital health coaching app, built by clinicians to address prevalent conditions such as hypertension, reduced mobility, weight management and women’s health, alongside mental health needs including anxiety, depression and stress.
It provides holistic lifestyle behaviour support and personalised proactive coaching which helps patients to make and sustain healthy habit changes.
We supported a 12 month project to deploy Holly Health across the four practices within MWEB Primary Care Network (PCN) in Northamptonshire in August 2024.
481 users fully onboarded to the app, which proved to be more popular with the female population of the PCN (76.3% of users) and with those falling within the 55-64 age bracket (41.3% of users), although there was strong interest from a number of age groups.
Over 25% of users were still regularly logging health data after 33 weeks, which is high for a fully digital coaching service, suggesting that there is a strong appetite for patients to support the management of their care at home.
Holly Health are keen to focus future evaluation work on specific patient cohorts, such as frequent GP attenders, people with hypertension and people with multiple long term conditions, spanning both mental and physical health areas.

Tellmi
Evaluating digital mental health support
We supported evaluation of the use of digital mental health platform Tellmi in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR). The platform was commissioned in LLR in April 2024 to provide accessible and scalable support for young people and adults experiencing mental health challenges.
Tellmi is an online peer-support app for individuals aged 11+ years. It is a Tier B NICE Digital Health Technology that assists users in managing their own health, enabling peer support, social sharing of emotions, building resilience and fostering the ‘active ingredients’ of wellbeing, such as mattering, selfhood, compassion and mindfulness, through a psychologically safe, anonymised platform.
The evaluation found that Tellmi has demonstrated steady uptake of users across LLR ICB since its implementation, with ~2,700 active users and an average of 200 new users joining each month.
Tellmi is being used across all age groups, with most users (77%) aged 11–25. Engagement is highest among younger teenagers, particularly those aged 12–13 while almost one-third (32%) of users fall within the key transition age group of 14–19 years.
Survey findings indicated:
- High levels of ongoing engagement (86% of respondents reported they use Tellmi more than once a week).
- High satisfaction (82% of respondents reported they were satisfied or very satisfied with Tellmi, and 76% stated they would feel they had lost a valuable support resource if the platform were no longer available).
Survey responses showed that users of Tellmi on average had poor mental health before joining Tellmi. Since using Tellmi, improvements were seen across all mental health scales. The largest improvements were observed in hope and self-esteem while loneliness and social connectedness showed smaller but also statistically significant improvements.
